Baggett Shori named mission engagement coordinator at Child Care Associates

Maggie Baggett Shori

Child Care Associates (CCA) has hired Maggie Baggett Shori as its mission engagement coordinator, a newly created position for the nonprofit. Baggett Shori will manage a portfolio of tours and events that give community members a first-hand experience of CCA’s early education work with disadvantaged children. Baggett Shori started her new position at CCA on Nov. 11.

“I got to know Maggie when she joined CCA’s luncheon committee as a volunteer,” said CCA’s President & CEO Kara Waddell. “Maggie, like her dad Happy, has a special gift of compassion and enthusiasm for what we do here at CCA, so when we began to identify qualities such as authenticity and professionalism for this position, Maggie was our obvious choice.”

The Baggett Family recently created the Happy Baggett Early Childhood Development Fund (Happy Fund) to help secure millions of dollars over the next several years to improve the quality of the 23 existing CCA early childhood campuses, as well as potentially build a new campus in Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

“When I was made aware of the opportunity at CCA, my heart leaped a bit. I immediately knew this was where I wanted to be, to carry out the work of CCA and carry on my poppa’s legacy,” said Baggett Shori. “I am honored to be a part of the CCA team.”
