Boschini returns as chancellor; Pullin resigns

TCU Chancellor Daniel Pullin resigned Thursday, Oct. 22.  His tenure was one of the shortest in the history of TCU.

The university emailed an announcement shortly before 5 p.m. but gave few details about what prompted Pullin to step down.

“We thank Daniel for his years of service at TCU,” said board chair Kit Moncrief. “We wish him and his family only the best.”

Before serving as chancellor, Pullin was president of the university. He joined TCU as John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business.

The board announced Victor Boschini would return as chancellor effective immediately.

“Victor’s proven leadership will ensure our Lead On: Values in Action strategic plan continues to be successfully implemented on behalf of our students, faculty, and our supportive community, while he and our team steward our daily campus life,” Moncrief said.

Rumors of Pullin’s “firing” circulated throughout the day on campus and social media posts, everything from X to Yik Yak, for much of the day.

Pullin thanked the “Horned Frog Family” for their support during his time at TCU in the official email.

Boschini expressed his gratitude for the chance to serve the TCU community once again. “I remain grateful for the chance to continue to serve TCU, our students and our community, amongst colleagues, alumni, fans, and Trustees who care so deeply for TCU.

Parker Neal, a business student, welcomed the change. “We have Chancellor Boschini back, the greatest chancellor of all time”.
