Education grant with business focus for FW Chamber

Educational nonprofit organization TG has given a $107,700 grant to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s Development Foundation, a nonprofit that runs education initiatives focusing on disadvantaged students.

The grant will be used in an initiative to teach Fort Worth ISD students about the needs of local businesses and help students navigate the path to higher education and careers that are in-demand.

The grant is one of seven grants TG is giving to organizations across the U.S., totaling $1.2 million. The Fort Worth grant is the fourth grant given to a Texas organization — two grants were given to organizations in Austin and one grant was given to Lee College in Baytown. TG awards grants to support initiatives helping low-income students.

TG is based in Round Rock, Texa
