Hospital releases UTEP President Diana Natalicio

EL PASO, Texas (AP) — Diana Natalicio, president of the University of Texas at El Paso, has been discharged from a hospital one week after she collapsed on campus.

A university statement says the 76-year-old administrator was discharged Thursday from Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso.

Natalicio collapsed Feb. 18 while walking on University Avenue to the Student Union. No cause for her collapse has been released to the public.

Natalicio has been president of the El Paso university since 1988 after joining the faculty in 1971.
