LEADING WITH FAITH IN THE AGE OF AI

Southwest Christian School to Host Groundbreaking AI Leadership Summit for Christian Schools in Fort Worth, Texas

Southwest Christian School (SCS) is leading the charge in shaping the future of AI in Christian education with it’s Christian School AI Leadership Summit (SAILS), taking place June 19-20. Designed for school leaders, this dynamic two-day event will explore how artificial intelligence can be used thoughtfully within Christian education.
As one of the first schools to develop a comprehensive Guidebook for staff, SCS is excited to share their ground breaking work. The school has also launched extensive community-wide education efforts involving faculty, staff, students and families.
“Any disruption in the educational landscape must be addressed from both an academic and spiritual perspective,” says Derek Reinhold, Dean of Innovation and Learning at SCS. “AI is such a disruption. If we outsource our formation to tech tools, we risk losing more than just academic growth, we compromise our spiritual development.”
chools from across Texas will be in attendance, from nearby partners like Liberty Christian School in Argyle and Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, to schools from as far as Houston and Austin. The summit will feature a lineup of respected experts in the field, including Rick Holbeck, EdS (Grand Canyon University, Phoenix), Dr. Sean Riley (The Stony Brook School, Long Island), Dr. Josh Thomason, MBA, CPA, and Dr. Derek Wilson (Ethos School / TrekAI, Atlanta). Attendees can expect to walk away with:
● Christ-centered strategies for building mission and vision around AI
● Classroom applications that foster critical thinking
● Communication frameworks for engaging students, staff, and parents with clarity and confidence
This Summit is designed to equip Christian School leaders with the tools to engage in Ai through a lens of faith, integrity and innovation.
