Tarleton-Fort Worth expands graduate offerings

Tarleton State University’s Fort Worth campus is expanding its graduate catalog.

The university announced the addition of two graduate programs and two graduate-level certificates Wednesday: a master’s in communications studies, master’s of public administration, certificate of organizational communication and certificate of social media. The programs will be available in the fall 2016 semester.

Students who finish the master’s in communications studies degree automatically receive the certificate of organizational communication and certificate of social media.

Prospective students must apply to Tarleton’s College of Graduate Studies at least five business days before the start of fall classes Aug. 22. Students are required to have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a GPA of at least 3.0 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate study. If a student’s GPA is between 2.5 and 3.0, he or she must submit a Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) score, which the university will review.
