Legendary Fort Worth sports columnist Dan Jenkins visited with the news media on Tuesday morning during the dedication ceremony for the Dan Jenkins Press Box, which overlooks TCU's football field in Amon G. Carter Stadium. Jenkins, 87, is a TCU alumni (1953). A TCU golf letterman in the early 1950s, Jenkins became renowned for covering golf, football and other subjects. He has written 24 books, some of which have been converted into movies (Baja Oklahoma, for example). As a golf journalist, Jenkins has covered the Masters Tournament for the past 67 years, beginning in 1951.
