Trinity Valley School is proud to announce that five of our outstanding students have been named National Merit Semifinalists—representing nearly half of all honorees from the entire Fort Worth-proper area. Out of 12 total students in Fort Worth to receive this distinction, five are TVS Trojans, an extraordinary testament to the academic excellence that defines our community. Overall, 20 Trinity Valley students were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program and/or the College Board.
Excellence at the Highest Level
This recognition places our students among the nation’s most exceptional scholars. More than 1.3 million juniors from approximately 20,000 high schools entered the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT®, and only 16,000—less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors—earned Semifinalist status. These students represent the top academic achievers in their states and now advance in competition for nearly 7,000 National Merit Scholarships valued at almost $26 million to be awarded next spring.
Trinity Valley’s 2026 National Merit Semifinalists are:
Luna Hudman, Davis Martin, Haley Munshi, Jason Shahi, and Fiona She.
“This recognition reflects the dedication, intellect, and character of our students,” said Ben Courchesne, Head of School. “Their achievements are the culmination of years of curiosity, perseverance, and a deep love of learning fostered within our community. We couldn’t be prouder.”
National Merit Commended Scholars
In addition to our Semifinalists, seven Trinity Valley School students have been recognized as National Merit Commended Scholars, placing them among the top-performing students nationwide.
Each year, approximately 34,000 Commended Students are honored for their exceptional academic promise based on their PSAT/NMSQT® scores. While they do not continue in the competition for scholarships, their distinction represents remarkable academic achievement.
Our 2026 Commended Scholars are:
Logan Bettinger, Saifullah Bhatti, Edythe Cline, Max McGuirk, Alana Parker, Keshav Talati, Eli Trivedi, and Madeline Yorkston.
College Board National Recognition Awards
Trinity Valley also celebrates thirteen students who earned College Board National Recognition Awards for their academic excellence and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT® and/or AP® Exams. These students achieved this honor during an especially rigorous period of their high school careers, exemplifying resilience, focus, and intellectual drive.
Recipients of the 2024–2025 College Board National Recognition Awards are:
Logan Bettinger, Edythe Cline, Luna Hudman, Davis Martin, Max McGuirk, Haley Munshi, Alana Parker, Micah Price, Jason Shahi, Fiona She, Sivani Subramanian, Eli Trivedi, and Madeline Yorkston.
A Culture of Academic Excellence
These distinctions collectively highlight the academic strength, determination, and passion for learning that define the Trinity Valley School experience. Our students continue to distinguish themselves on national and international stages, embodying the school’s mission to inspire extraordinary achievement and integrity in all endeavors.
