Fort Worth company acquires San Antonio-based Texas Commercial Energy

Electrasource Advisors LLC of Fort Worth has acquired San Antonio energy commodity brokerage firm Texas Commercial Energy.

The merger includes the client portfolio, along with an experienced staff of brokers and support personnel, the company said in a Jan. 10 news release. It is the second merger of an energy brokerage business by Electrasource Advisors in the last seven months.

Members of both firms will continue to operate under the Electrasource Advisors entity and continue to provide their consultation, commodity brokerage and efficiency services to end use customers “The acquisition of Texas Commercial Energy immediately increases our market share and ability to provide excellent customer service utilizing the tremendous relationships between Texas Commercial Energy and their customers,” Jason Bear, Chief Operating Officer of Electrasource, said in the announcement.

Brad Ellison, founder of Texas Commercial Energy, said in the news release that the acquisition allows TCE customers access to a more comprehensive energy portfolio “along with the personal relationships and values they have grown to expect and appreciate over the years.”

“Texas Commercial Energy was built on the principles of personal customer service and the relentless pursuit of providing quality, economical energy needs to our commercial accounts,” Ellison said.

Electrasource Advisors was founded in 2016. Texas Commercial Energy was founded in 2007.
