FW Water Department closing Berry Street office

The Fort Worth Water Department has announced plans to close its southeast satellite customer service office at 4245 E. Berry St. effective Tuesday Sept. 29, 2015.

The office, located inside Fiesta Mart, will close permanently on Tuesday Sept. 29.

Customers can still pay their city services bill at the Fiesta customer service counter using Fidelity Express, or at any of the 300 locations in Tarrant County that accept Fidelity Express payments, according to a city news release. But customers must bring their water bill to pay through Fidelity Express.

“We decided to close the office because customers can pay at the location anyway,” said Mary Gugliuzza, Water Department spokeswoman.

“This is just a better allocation of our resources,” Gugliuzza said.

The Water Department still operates two, full-service customer service locations. One is in the City Hall Annex, 908 Monroe St. in downtown. Its operating hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The second location is the Southwest satellite office at 3741 Southwest Loop 820. The facility is inside the Southwest Municipal Court Building, at the southeast corner of the Trail Lake Drive and Southwest Loop 820. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
