JP Energy of Irving constructing Kansas Express pipeline

A. Lee Graham Reporter lgraham@bizpress.net   JP Energy Development, an affiliate of Irving-based JP Energy Partners, has begun constructing its previously announced Kansas Express pipeline. The interstate crude oil pipeline, to be built in phases, will transport oil from Coldwater, Kan. to Cushing, Okla. Future phases are expected to extend the pipeline north to Gove County and east to Kingman County, Kan. The pipeline is expected to begin service in fourth-quarter 2013.  JD Energy Development is a crude oil midstream company that purchases, gathers, transports, blends, stores and markets crude oil for producers and refiners. It currently moves about 40,000 barrels of crude oil a day. JP Energy Development and JP Energy Partners are supported by equity commitments from ArcLight Capital Partners LLC.
