Fort Worth law firm Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP has opened a new office location in New Orleans with Loulan J. Pitre Jr., a former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, as partner in charge. Pitre concentrates his practice on energy and environmental law and also advises clients on legislation and policy. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Pitre teaches advanced oil and gas law as a part-time faculty member of Tulane Law School. “Kelly Hart’s commitment to excellent client service and its great client base will interlace nicely with our current work in Louisiana,” Pitre said in a news release. “But there is no truth to the rumors that I have bought a pair of cowboy boots.”
Joining the practice are Aime Williams Hebert, Demarcus J. Gordon, Kelly E. Ransom, Jane A. Jackson and Victor E. Jones. Hebert’s practice focuses on oil and gas litigation, both at the trial level and the appellate level. She is a member of the Advisory Council of the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute and teaches basic oil and gas law as an adjunct instructor of law at Tulane Law School. Gordon’s practice focuses on oil and gas, environmental litigation and related regulatory work. His practice defends oil and gas exploration and production companies in legacy litigation. Ransom concentrates her practice in the areas of environmental and toxic torts litigation, oil and gas disputes, and commercial litigation. Jackson practices in the areas of oil and gas litigation, construction contracts and Louisiana’s Public Bid Law. Jones’ practice focuses on oil and gas, commercial litigation, and environmental and toxic torts. Kelly Hart & Hallman has more than 140 attorneys in its offices in Fort Worth, Austin and New Orleans.
