Quincy Compressor has agreed to acquire all compressor-related assets of National Pump & Compressor and McKenzie Compressed Air, which both have several Texas locations.

According to Bay Minette, Ala.-based Quincy, recent developments in Texas and Alabama markets provided an opportunity to incorporate the assets of the two distributors into its business.

“Quincy customers in Texas and Alabama can rely on the direct stores in nine locations primarily in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Mobile,” said John Thompson, company president, in a news release.

The Texas locations are in Fort Worth, Austin, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Freeport, Houston, Port Arthur, San Antonio and Tyler.

“With NPC and McKenzie exiting the market, we plan to build on the successes of these companies, strengthen our brand presence and continue to bring high-quality products and services to our customers,” Thompson said.

As part of the acquisition, about 125 employees from NPC and McKenzie will join Quincy. The acquired branches comprise Quincy’s direct sales and service centers in Texas.
