Retail gasoline prices down 3 cents across Texas

IRVING, Texas (AP) — Retail gasoline prices have slipped 3 cents this week across Texas to settle at $3.45 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the nationwide price at the pump dropped by a nickel to reach $3.59 per gallon.

Drivers in El Paso have the most expensive gasoline statewide at $3.53 per gallon. The weekly association survey found Amarillo has the cheapest gasoline in Texas at $3.36 per gallon.

AAA experts say retail gasoline prices have continued to decline following the July Fourth holiday period amid lower crude oil costs as the situation in Iraq stabilizes.
