Sheriff Anderson likely in runoff; other local results

Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson appears headed for a runoff with challenger Bill Waybourn, the former police chief in Dalworthington Gardens.

With a second challenger in the race siphoning off votes, Anderson was just short of 49 percent of the vote as final totals came in.

In other contested races in Tarrant County, state Rep. Jonathan Stickland, R-Bedford, was headed to an easy victory.

In the Republican primary for the 348th District Court, incumbent Mike Wallach appeared headed to a runoff with challenger Brooke Allen, though another challenger, Lisa Lumley was not far behind with 25 percent of the vote.

In the 99th Judicial District Republican primary, Judge R.H. Wallace Jr. was just a few percentage points ahead of his challenger Traci Hutton with 95 percent of the vote in.

In the Republican primary for Family District Judge for the 360th Judicial District Patricia Baca Bennett was ahead of incumbent Mike Sinha with 57 percent of the vote.
