Texas retail gasoline prices hold steady at $1.90 per gallon

COPPELL, Texas (AP) — Texas retail gasoline prices held steady this week at $1.90 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported that’s the same average price at the pump as a week ago. The nationwide retail gasoline average rose a penny this week to reach $$2.11 per gallon.

Dallas has the most expensive gasoline this week in Texas at an average $1.95 per gallon. Drivers in Amarillo and San Antonio have the cheapest gasoline statewide at an average $1.82 per gallon.

Association experts say prices could move higher during the second quarter of the year in the Midwest due to supply challenges and increased demand for gasoline. A number of refineries in that region are running at reduced rates due to ongoing and unplanned maintenance.
