Advertising/PR Notes: LIGHTS! CAMERA! BANTER!

KPI

Looking for some local public relations or marketing information?

Scheduled to debut in April is the KPI Banter Show.

KPI Banter Show is a Fort Worth-based webcast featuring business and civic organizations talking about how they reach out to their audiences and measure their efforts. The new program has been developed by Brian Murnahan and Michelle Keefer of Murnahan Public Relations and MKConsulting, respectively.

“We spend our time telling our clients’ stories and those of our employers, so that we often forget to share our own stories,” said Murnahan. “It seems that there is just never enough time to really tell what we do and why it is important for groups large and small to spend time with quality communications professionals!”

The planned 20-minute webcast will feature tips from event planners, web developers, designers, photographers and more in hopes of helping public relations and marketing professionals develop more tools, says Murnahan. In preparation for its debut, the show has an open “casting call” for marketing and communications professionals to share their stories.

Murnahan and Keefer are looking for stories featuring a wide range of professionals from a wide range of industries. They hope to hear tales of trials or challenges, unique and creative ideas in execution, and success stories. The KPI Banter Show will feature one 7-to-8-minute storytelling segment and several 2-to-3-minute pieces featuring tips, tricks or quick advice.

Why the name? KPI is short for Key Performance Indicator, and “banter” is the positive tone the hosts will take to discuss communications in the media and from guests. The website is being developed by Fort Worth-based Magik Digital.

Applicants may be considered for any segment of the show, based on the story they have to tell and the time slots available. https://goo.gl/forms/xP1os4WGJtdcgaC73.
