Armed Forces Bowl tickets on sale Saturday

🕐 2 min read

Tickets for the 16th annual Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl to be played at TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium on Dec. 22, will go on sale Saturday at ArmedForcesBowl.com.

The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl has ranked among the top three games of the postseason college football bowl season each of the past two years, as both the 2016 and 2017 games were decided in the game’s final 18 seconds. In addition, with 330 total points scored over the past four games, the Armed Forces Bowl is the second-highest scoring bowl game over that time, behind only the Rose Bowl (343).

Pending eligibility, the 2018 game will feature teams from the Big 12 Conference and the American Athletic Conference. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.

Tickets range from $30 for general admission seating to $75 for lower bowl reserved seats. A limited number of seats are also available in the exclusive Champions Club located on the west side of the stadium. At $125, these tickets include premium seating, complimentary food and beverages, and access to the inside of the club level.

The general public also has the opportunity to thank armed forces members and their families by sponsoring tickets for military members to attend the game through the “Host a Hero” program, which is now in its fourth year. “Host a Hero” tickets, sold for $15 each, will be distributed to past and present service members and their families. Ticket sponsors will be recognized for their generosity during the game.

Armed forces members will be able to register for up to four complimentary tickets to the game provided courtesy of the bowl’s corporate partners and fans on the website.

“Our fans have been treated to some spectacularly entertaining football,” Brant Ringler, Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl executive director, said in a news release. “But this game is always about more than just the action on the field. It’s an incredible opportunity for our fans to be able to honor our past and present service members while taking part in all the pageantry surrounding the armed forces.”

Tickets will be available for purchase through ArmedForcesBowl.com.

The annual game, played in honor of the armed forces of the United States, is the only collegiate football bowl game that has hosted all three U.S. Military Academy football teams – the U.S. Military Academy (2010, 2017), U.S. Air Force Academy (2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2015) and U.S. Naval Academy (2013, 2016).
