Defending champion Kevin Kisner and the 2016 winner, Dallas native Jordan Spieth, are among the golfers heading up a lineup of former Fort Worth Invitational winners and other PGA Tour stars set to play in the 72nd version of the historic tournament.
The tournament runs May 21-27 at Colonial Country Club, with a $7.1 million purse and 121 players.
Other Colonial winners include two-time champion Zach Johnson, Adam Scott, Chris Kirk, Steve Stricker,
Rory Sabbatini and more. Top players on the current FedExCup points list who will be vying for their first Colonial title include 2018 PLAYERS champion Webb Simpson, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Patton Kizzire and Pat Perez. The field includes top world-ranked players #3 – #6: Rahm, Spieth, Rose and Fowler, respectively.
2017 U.S. Open winner Brooks Koepka, Matt Kuchar, Ryan Palmer, Bryson DeChambeau,
Brand Snedeker, William McGirt, Jason Dufner, Charl Schwartzel, Harris English, J.J. Henry,
Bill Haas, Charley Hoffman, Si Woo Kim, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel and Brian
Harman will join the mix, and several have come close to winning the Fort Worth Invitational
in past years. Other 2017-2018 tournament winners in the field are Ryan Armour, Patrick
Cantlay, Austin Cook, Ted Potter Jr., Brice Garnett, Satoshi Kodaira, Andrew Landry and
Scott Piercy.
Kisner won the 2018 tournament in dramatic ashion, with three consecutive birdies on the back nine Sunday to hold off Spieth, John Rahm and Sean O’Hair by one shot. He went on to his best year ever on the PGA Tour.
One-day tickets for any day, Wednesday through Sunday, are $50 each. A $15 one-day
Youth Ticket for young teens will also be available. Children 12 and under are admitted free
of charge. Grounds passes good for the entire week cost $125. Champions Club badges cost
$235 for the week or $95 for one day. Tickets are also available online and at local Tom
Thumb and Albertsons stores.
