De la Torre joins Business Press

Experienced area advertising director Art de la Torre has joined the Fort Worth Business Press as chief revenue officer.

Fort Worth Business Press owner and publisher Richard Connor announced the addition of de la Torre to the publication on May 1.

ā€œSometimes we are in the right place at the right time,ā€ said Connor. ā€œWe have been looking for someone to oversee all of our revenue sources and were thrilled to find Art de la Torre back in town. He was a talented advertising executive during my time as publisher of the Star-Telegram, known for his personal leadership, creativity, hard work, and business ethics.

ā€œArt becomes a key member of our senior leadership team. He knows the market and our clients and advertisers, as well as our employees, will be the beneficiaries of his talents.ā€

De la Torre was at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and McClatchy for a total of 17 years in a variety of roles, most recently as classified advertising manager. He also managed seven weekly newspapers in the Fort Worth area ā€“ The Keller Citizen, The Southlake Journal, The Grapevine Courier, The Colleyville Courier, The Mansfield News-Mirror, and the Weatherford Telegram ā€“ for several years.
