Ivie & Associates, a full-service marketing and public relations agency headquartered in Flower Mound, has acquired BuzzShift, a digital strategy agency based in Dallas, for an undisclosed amount.

Founded by Cameron Gawley and Eddy Badrina in 2010, BuzzShift serves clients in various industries, including technology (Verizon, Evernote, Everlane, Twilio, RISE); restaurants (Landry’s Inc, Which Wich); fashion and beauty (Jack Black Skincare, Panacea); and nonprofits (National Breast Cancer Foundation, ALS Association, Big Thought).

“Becoming a part of the Ivie family creates new opportunities for growth and expansion of our BuzzShift team,” Gawley said. “BuzzShift had fantastic organic growth in 2015, and we’re excited about the scale that Ivie brings to help us continue to grow our client base.”

Founded in 1993 by CEO Warren Ivie, Ivie & Associates employs over 700 professionals throughout its U.S. and China offices.

“Digital is at the forefront of every savvy marketer’s mind today; Ivie has experienced tremendous growth within our digital services teams over the last five years, and it’s important to us to continue to grow and enhance our capabilities and expertise in this field,” Ivie said. “BuzzShift has built a great track record of success in many verticals that align with Ivie’s long-term strategic growth plan, and we look forward to working together to share our collective expertise for the benefit of our clients.”

Badrina and Gawley will continue to oversee BuzzShift’s current client base as well as support Ivie’s ongoing expansion into SEM, social media advertising, digital content creation and conversion optimization. BuzzShift will join RD&F, CLM, BlueLeaf Digital, GreenLeaf Media Services, Graphic Image, Ivie Asia and China Printing Solutions under the Ivie family of companies.
