From news release:
It’s more than just a show— it’s a movement. The equally inspiring element of an art exhibition is the way in which it’s curated. On March 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., FORT WORKS ART will open #28grams, a one-of-a-kind exhibition that connects the public to some of the most highly representational, figurative, and abstract artists from across the globe who are using modern platforms in striking and innovative ways.
As a premiere feature of one of the most anticipated city-wide art events of season–Spring Gallery Night–FORT WORKS ART is hosting a free reception celebrating the launch of its newest exhibition. Unparalleled in its curatorial design, #28grams features a diverse range of 28 museum and gallery represented artists from around the world who have broken through the walls of traditional “art” spaces by garnering international online fame through mixing their fine art process with the low-fi medium of Instagram. Aimed at showcasing the individuals behind the up-and-coming digital movement, #28grams is the brainchild of FORT WORKS ART co-founder Lauren Childs who hopes to showcase the method in which “online social networking is breaking down the geographical barriers of artistic genres.”
The event will be underscored by a surprise special DJ spinning some of today’s hottest music and guests will enjoy a wine bar and lite bites.
