The Fortress Festival is here.
North Texas’ newest music festival is taking place April 29 and 30 in Fort Worth’s Cultural District.
The inaugural Fortress Festival has a lineup lineup featuring internationally acclaimed headliners alongside some of today’s hottest up-and-coming music acts, as well as a variety of local artists.
Saturday’s headliner Run The Jewels will help close out day 1 as the rap duo performs in support of Run The Jewels 3, the third album installment that was released last December. Grammy-nominated electronic music producer Flying Lotus will be accompanied by Houndmouth, Wolf Parade, S U R V I V E, and a range of area acts like Sam Lao, Burning Hotels, Blue, The Misfit., Cure of Paranoia, and more to round out the sounds of Saturday.
Purity Ring is set to headline Sunday. Others set for day two, including Slowdive, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Peter Hook & The Light, Alvvays, Whitney, Dengue Fever, Quaker City Night Hawks, and more.
The festival will also feature two stages—one on the grounds of the Will Rogers Memorial Center and another on the reflecting pond at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
