Tim Halden has joined the Fort Worth Business Press as vice president of advertising for the media company.

Formerly sales and community relations director for Fort Worth Bike Sharing, Halden has several years of experience in sales, marketing and business development.

“I am more than excited to start my new role at the Fort Worth Business Press at time when the publication is reinventing itself,” Halden said.

Among his new duties will be rebuilding the sales team, reinvigorating the media company’s products and events and maintaining the publication’s deep involvement in the community.

“ Fort Worth is talent-laden for employers looking for executives but it’s not often a local company can find someone with broad experience who has the kind of local roots that Tim possesses,” said Richard L. Connor, president and publisher of the Fort Worth Business Press. “He’s as local as it gets but over his career has ventured outside Fort Worth to gain the kind of perspective that results in being well-rounded, not parochial.”

His experience locally with businesses and with the city and his marketing experience in other fields is going to be crucial to the new sales team we are building,” he said.

Halden is a native of Cowtown and prides himself in everything Fort Worth, from culture to attitude to preservation to responsible growth. Only best will do for his hometown.

“Being born and raised in Fort Worth, I have reveled in how our community as grown and look forward to that progress continuing,” he said.

Along with running his own business, Halden has experience with a variety of businesses, including American Airlines, First Choice Power and Dollar Rent-A-Car.

Halden says he is ready to begin setting the pace for the future of Fort Worth’s premier business publication.

“Remember what Gandhi said ‘The future depends on what you do today,’” he said.
