The Big 12 has announced TCU’s 2020 conference football schedule, finalizing the Horned Frogs’ slate for next season.
TCU will open the 2020 campaign on Sept. 5 at California. The Golden Bears will play at TCU in 2021. The Horned Frogs defeated Cal 10-7 in overtime to win the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl. The Horned Frogs are 7-0 against Pac-12 opponents under head coach Gary Patterson.
The trip to Berkeley will mark TCU’s first game in the state of California since a 31-24 victory over Louisiana Tech in the 2011 Poinsettia Bowl. The Horned Frogs last played in Northern California when they won 38-36 at Stanford in 2007.
TCU will make its 2020 home debut when it hosts Prairie View A&M on Sept. 12.
Following its only open date of the season, TCU will make the short trek to Dallas to face SMU on Sept. 26 to close the nonconference portion of its schedule.
TCU’s ninth season in the Big 12 will begin Oct. 3 when it hosts Oklahoma State. The Horned Frogs will also face Kansas State (Oct. 17), Oklahoma (Oct. 31), Iowa State (Nov. 7) and Texas Tech (Nov. 21) in Amon G. Carter Stadium.
The Horned Frogs will travel to West Virginia (Oct. 10), Baylor (Oct. 24), Texas (Nov. 14) and Kansas (Nov. 28).
