The Fort Worth Business Press has appointed Lauren Vay as vice president of marketing. Previously director of audience development, Vay joined the Business Press in 2014.
“Lauren Vay represents not just our present but the future,” said Richard L. Connor, president and publisher of the Business Press. “She is already deeply involved in our day-to-day business decisions and her role in helping shape the company will expand.”

“I am looking forward to taking on the role of vice president of marketing at the Fort Worth Business Press,” Vay said. “I am lucky to work for a great company with a mission I truly believe in. Over the past three years I have been able see our company develop and transform to meet the needs of our customers.”
Vay graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in marketing and a minor in energy and technology management.
“She has uncommon maturity and both her work ethic and her personal ethics are unmatched,” he said. “She is quicker, smarter, and comes to work each day earlier than anyone here. Often, stays later. And no one on our staff will be insulted by singling her out for these traits.”
Connor said that within the next week the company will announced additional staff and product changes at the Business Press.
“This is an exciting time for us,” he said. “We have retrenched and restructured and plan to surprise and maybe shock the market with changes.”
