Texas Motor Speedway patrons have a savory surprise on their race weekend menu.

The Loaded Hawg Dawg, the latest addition to the Hawg Heaven concession selection, makes its bacon-infused debut at this weekend’s Firestone 600-NASCAR doubleheader at the north Fort Worth racetrack.

The new concession item, offered by the speedway and Levy Restaurants, is an oversized sandwich featuring slow-cooked pulled pork, two mozzarella cheese sticks and two thick slices of bacon on a foot-long bun. Topping the treat is cheddar bacon jalapeno queso and sliced jalapenos.

The sandwich, which will sell for $12, will only be available at the concession stand on the concourse inside the Gate 4 main grandstand entrance during Friday’s NTT DATA Qualifying Day and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino & Resort 400, as well as Saturday evening’s Firestone 600 Verizon IndyCar Series race.

“We are always looking to expand our Hawg Heaven brand,” said Lincoln Engstrom, chef at Levy Restaurants, in a news release.

“This foot-long sandwich is the perfect combination of everything race fans love.”

The Hawg Heaven concession line began in 2013 with Hawg Heaven Bacon Cotton Candy and has featured the Shake ‘n Bacon Brew bacon-infused beer milkshake, among other munchables.

The upcoming race weekend features the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino and Resort 400 on Friday June 5 and the Verizon IndyCar Series Firestone 600 on Saturday June 6.
