im “Mattress Mack” McIngvale – who you may remember as the Hero of Hurricane Harvey because he sent his furniture trucks to rescue displaced flooding victims – will speak on Friday, March 29, at the Northeast Leadership Forum annual meeting and award luncheon at The Marq in Southlake. Mattress Mack housed the victims for two weeks, providing them with free meals, free clothing, and he gave them new mattresses to sleep on… and then gave them their mattresses as they returned home. He is a renowned philanthropist and a clever entrepreneur having started his business selling furniture from under a tent on I-45 in Houston and now owning and operating three Houston-area locations of Gallery Furniture. A Houston newspaper readers’ poll once named his TV commercials as the city’s best and worst – both in the same year.

Tickets are $55. Please contact John Fletcher for reservations at 817-205-2334 or john@thefletch.org.
