Redskins place ex-Frog Doctson on physically unable to perform list

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The Washington Redskins placed former TCU star Josh Doctson on the physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp Thursday.

The rookie wide receiver has an Achilles injury that first occurred at rookie minicamp in May. Doctson returned during organized team activities but left soon after when he aggravated the problem.

Doctson is among five players the Redskins placed on the PUP list Thursday prior to the team’s first workout. The others are guard Shawn Lauvao (ankle), linebacker Perry Riley (foot), tight end Derek Carrier (knee) and wide receiver Reggie Diggs (knee). The Redskins put linebacker Junior Galette on the reserve/non-football injury list after he tore his right Achilles tendon.
