Fine print. Hidden agendas. Little things you might have missed. These are the tiny annoyances that, overlooked, can cause you to book a flight to Dallas, Pennsylvania; or to provide a prospective employer the phone number of a local yogurt shop instead of your own, because, well, it’s just one digit different.

In other words, details. They color all the dramatic pieces in SceneShop’s offering for summer 2019. Titled “…in the details,” the show will offer seven pieces sure to entertain and engage, written by Steven Alan McGaw, Straton Rushing, Rob Bosquez, Joshua Eguia, and Grayson Harper. Our acting ensemble for this edition of the ‘Shop includes Joshua Eguia, Debbie Dacus, Michael Carver-Simmons, Tyler Moore, Vinnie Witherspoon, Straton Rushing, Trich Zaitoon, Alexandria Fazzari, Susan van Belkum, Steven Cashion, Justin Rhoads, Steven McGaw, and Peggy Bott Kirby.

As usual there will be concessions (including “adult beverages”), and live music before the show and at intermission. And as per usual, these shows are recommended for high-school age and over.

Tickets may be purchased thru the Events page at www.artsfifthavenue.org. or reservations can be made by calling 817-923-9500.

For the first two show, local favorite WillieNatra will be bringing its special mix of Texas outlaw country and swingin’ jazz for listeners.

One special note: one of SceneShop’s founders, Elizabeth Sexton-Morrison, passed suddenly in January. These three performances in August are dedicated to Elizabeth, and her great friendship, talent and good humor on and offstage. Closing Night will include a tribute to Liz and her talented son, Grant Morrison, will provide the evening’s musical entertainment.

ARTS FIFTH AVENUE, an eclectic neighborhood arts center, is located at the corner of 5th Avenue and W. Allen in the Fairmount Southside Historic District of Fort Worth.
