The Texas Rangers announced Thursday that Toyota has been named the “Official Truck Sponsor” of the Texas Rangers. According to a news release, the partnership between the Rangers and Toyota will “highlight Toyota’s two Texas-built trucks, Tacoma and Tundra.”

Toyota will get branding and naming rights to 12 parking lots around the ballpark, as well as signage on the outfield wall, video board and home plate. Toyota will also sponsor video replays at Globe Life Park and take part in promotions and community programs.

Toyota’s partnership with the Rangers lasts until 2018.

“The Rangers are thrilled to welcome Toyota to North Texas and the Rangers corporate partner family,” said Joe Januszewski, executive vice president of business partnerships and development for the Texas Rangers. “We pride ourselves in working with best in class companies, and Toyota certainly represents excellence in the automotive industry.”

Toyota is currently working to relocate its North American headquarters from Torrance, Calif., to Plano.

“Toyota has always had a strong commitment to community,” said Ed Laukes, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. “With the relocation of our headquarters to Plano, becoming the official truck sponsor of the Texas Rangers makes sense. We see this partnership as a great opportunity to further our relationship with fans and to cheer for our new home team. Let’s play ball!”
