Who else but Willie Nelson will headline a weeklong celebration of Billy Bob’s Texas 35th Anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The celebration of all things Billy Bob’s will run Thursday, Nov. 10 through Saturday, Nov. 12.
A full lineup of anniversary events will be announced soon, including other live music acts. Festivities will include a free, family friendly ‘Rodeo Plaza Party’ featuring live music, Texas cuisine, line dance lessons, and activities for the kids.
Nelson is no red-headed stranger to Billy Bob’s having performed at the honky-tonk 53 times.
“Over the past 35 years, I sort of grew up watching Willie play at Billy Bob’s,” said Concho Minick, president of Billy Bob’s Texas, in a blog post. “He is inseparable from the history here. In terms of country music, it has always been Willie for me so it’s the biggest honor to have him back again, especially on this occasion.”
