Looking for a mid-week, pick-me-up date night idea for yourself and your significant other? Or just need a little something to get your ideas going in the kitchen?
Next Wednesday, July 26, from 7-9 p.m. Lost Oak Winery is hosting a cooking class and wine pairing class for $35 per person.

This class follows their inaugural “A Night with the Chef” cooking class and will include a hands-on cooking demonstration with Chef Scott Michael Dougherty.
Dougherty is a Lost Oak Wine Club member with 31 years of culinary experience ranging from home-style comfort food and regional cuisine, to hotel/corporate catering and fine dining, as well as his work in menu planning kitchen operations and design.
During the class Dougherty will teach participants how to prepare the selected recipe and what wines would pair well with it.
The menu will include:
— Appetizers: Southwest style “Gazpacho”
— Salad: Southwest Chop Salad with Cilantro- Tomatillo Vinaigrette
— Entree: Baja Style Fish Tacos with Chayote-Jicama Slaw, Mexicali Rice, and Borracho Beans
— Dessert: Caramel Flan
