Fort Worth-area human resource awards seeks nominations

The Fort Worth Human Resource Management Association (FWHRMA) has announced their inaugural Human Resource Professional of the Year Award. The award recognizes the outstanding achievements made by Human Resource Professionals in the Fort Worth area and will be presented to the individual who has made significant contributions to their own organization as well as serving as an advocate to the HR community by utilizing innovation, technology and best practices.

The person selected will have reinforced the mission of FWHRMA and the national organization, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) to “serve the needs of HR professionals and advance the professional practice of human resource management.” The deadline for nominations is 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Darcy Brown, PHR and president of FWHRMA said “we are thrilled to be bringing this long over-due recognition to the Fort Worth HR community and to recognize the individual who most personifies outstanding leadership in HR. It is most appropriate that this award be presented during our 5th Annual Strategic Mindset Conference Luncheon on Friday, September 19.” To nominate, visit www.fwhrma.org.
