Grapevine to host first TMS event in Texas

Grapevine has been selected as the first-ever Texas destination to host Travel Media Showcase (TMS), an international convention bringing together more than 175 top travel media from across North America and beyond. The event is slated for Aug. 16 -19, 2016, at Gaylord Texan Resort (GTR).

“We are thrilled to bring Travel Media Showcase to Texas, and specifically to Grapevine,” said Joanne Vero, president, J. Vero & Associates, the New Jersey-based producers of Travel Media Showcase. “As one of our longtime participants, Grapevine is the perfect place to introduce many of the writers to Texas and all of the wonderful travel opportunities and destination stories to be told in the Lone Star State.”

TMS, which is celebrating its 17th year in 2016, is a series of meetings between travel media and destination marketing professionals. Attendees also will participate in local excursions focusing on Grapevine’s attractions, hotels, shopping, galleries and the Urban Wine Trail. Travel media also will have the opportunity for pre- and post-conference familiarization tours to a variety of Texas destinations.

GTR offers more than 1,500 guest rooms, as well as more than 400,000 square feet of meeting space. Additional hotel amenities include the 10-acre Paradise Springs waterpark, onsite shopping and dining, Glass Cactus nightclub and more.

Registration to attend the conference will open in November 2015.
