Trinity Flyfest, a celebration of urban trout fishing, will take place again this year on March 8th on the banks of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River located near the intersection of Bryant Irvin and River Park Drive. This year’s event is presented by Land Rover Fort Worth, who will serve as the Fly Master Title Sponsor.
The family-friendly event, produced by Streams & Valleys (S&V), will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) will stock the river with 1,800 lbs. of rainbow trout prior to the event, which will also feature other fun activities such as the Big Trout Contest, open fishing, kids’ activities, expert presentations, vendors, food trucks and much more.

“For over 50 years, Streams & Valleys has been all about protecting and celebrating the Trinity River,” said Eddie Broussard, a Streams & Valleys board member. “Events like Trinity Flyfest bring that to life by giving kids and adults a chance to connect with nature, spend a weekend learning to fly fish, and discover all the amazing things the river has to offer. It’s not just about fishing—it’s about bringing the community together and building a deeper love for this incredible natural treasure we all share.”
Trinity Flyfest is produced by Streams & Valleys and made possible thanks to the support of presenting sponsor TRWD. Other supporting sponsors include Orvis, Tailwaters, City Center Fort Worth and Frost Bank.
Admission is free, and parking is $10 at River Park Trailhead located at 3100 Bryant Irvin Road. For more information, visit www.trinityflyfest.com.
