Fort Worth, TX – March 30, 2026 – The Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth (REC of GFW), the unified voice for the commercial real estate industry in Tarrant County, is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Annual Awards, recognizing outstanding leadership, service and impact across the region.
The awards were presented during REC of GFW’s 2026 Annual Celebration, Your Move, REC: Celebrating Leadership. Launching What’s Next, held on March 27 at Stockyards Station. The event brought together leaders from across the commercial real estate industry to celebrate a year of progress, recognize exceptional contributors and introduce REC’s new strategic plan.
Each year, REC of GFW honors individuals who exemplify the organization’s mission to strengthen the commercial real estate industry and enhance the quality of life across Fort Worth, Arlington and Tarrant County.
Susan A. Halsey Founder’s Award: Michael Bennett, Bennett Partners
Michael Bennett, CEO of Bennett Partners, was recognized for his visionary leadership and lasting contributions to Fort Worth through thoughtful, community-focused development. His work has played a significant role in shaping the city’s built environment while enhancing opportunities and quality of life for its residents.
Danny Scarth Member Impact Award: Rick Jenkins, Busey Bank
Rick Jenkins, Market President at Busey Bank, was honored for his long-standing dedication to REC and his commitment to fostering collaboration across the region. A member since the organization’s early years, his leadership has helped strengthen connections across the commercial real estate community.
Outstanding Young Leader Award: Camber Brown, GL Seaman
Camber Brown was recognized for her exceptional leadership and rapid impact within REC. In less than two years, she has contributed across multiple committees and programs, helping drive engagement and build connections among emerging professionals in the industry.
Excellence Award: Don Guy, City of Fort Worth
Don Guy, Plans Examiner with the City of Fort Worth, was honored for his outstanding service and commitment to supporting development across the city. Known as a trusted problem solver, his work helps projects move forward efficiently while maintaining high standards.
In addition to the annual awards, REC of GFW presented the 2026 Chairman’s Award to Karen Vermaire Fox in recognition of her leadership and service as Executive Director of the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth since the organization’s founding in 2004. Her dedication has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s growth, impact and long-term success.
