Center for Transforming Lives to Host First-Ever Community Garage Sale at Riverside Campus

Fort Worth, Texas – Center for Transforming Lives’ popular thrift-store – The Resale Shop – will host its first-ever community garage sale on Saturday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at its Riverside Campus, 3001 S Riverside Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76119. Residents are invited to shop for affordable secondhand items such as clothing for men, women and children as well as household items and small furniture. Every item purchased supports programs that promote long-term financial stability for local families. This marks The Resale Shop’s first-ever community-wide garage sale, as the business prepares for its popular spring event, Clean Out Help Out, in May. Clean Out, Help Out invites donations of gently used clothing, houseware and more, and features a lively atmosphere with great deals, music and more.

Established more than 20 years ago by Center for Transforming Lives, The Resale Shop operates as a social enterprise: a business that exists to make a social impact, not just a profit. Proceeds from sales directly fund the non-profit’s programs that support women and children across Tarrant County – approximately $200,000 annually! The Resale Shop has served as a trusted source for affordable, gently used goods for more than 20 years, while advancing Center for Transforming Lives’ mission. Community members are encouraged to attend the garage sale at Riverside Campus, located at 3001 S Riverside Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76119, on Saturday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Inventory will be available as long as supplies last, and all proceeds support Center for Transforming Lives’ programs serving women and children in Tarrant County.

About Center for Transforming Lives Center for Transforming Lives partners with single mothers and their children so they can thrive. Founded in 1907, Center for Transforming Lives is one of Tarrant County’s biggest family safety nets, working to disrupt cycles of poverty and homelessness among the most vulnerable in our community. The non-profit meets the needs of more than 3,000 women and children annually through a comprehensive, evidence-based, two-generation, trauma-informed model. Thanks to housing support, early childhood education, economic mobility services, and counseling services that span generations, parents and children build financial stability and well-being as a family. Led by CEO Carol Klocek since 2009, the $24 million non-profit opened its new Riverside Campus headquarters in May.
