Center for Transforming Lives welcomes Steven Gonzalez as new Chief Operating Officer

Center for Transforming Lives is pleased to announce the appointment

of Steven Gonzalez as Chief Operating Officer, a new role within the non-profit as it

expands to serve more Tarrant County families.

Riverside Campus. This transformative space will expand capacity to provide

comprehensive services including early childhood education, housing supports,

clinical counseling and economic mobility programs through an integrative approach

designed to break the cycle of poverty for women and children in Tarrant County.

Gonzalez brings more than 20 years of distinguished leadership and workforce

development experience to his new role. Most recently serving as the Business

Services Director for Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, he was instrumental in

designing and implementing comprehensive employment strategies for both

employers and job seekers. His visionary leadership focused on building sustainable

workforce ecosystems through strong industry consortiums, strategic community

partnerships and innovative approaches to skills training, work-based learning and

career pathway development.

Throughout his tenure, Gonzalez led numerous high-impact initiatives that

supported small businesses, advanced apprenticeships and internships, and

connected underrepresented populations to meaningful employment opportunities.

His ability to align business needs with workforce solutions has earned him

recognition across the region as a collaborative changemaker and trusted advisor to

employers.

Before transitioning into the civilian workforce, he held several senior leadership

positions during his service in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a

Public Relations Director, Operations/ Readiness Director and Human Resource

Director. After his military career, he continued his dedication to public service

through roles with the American GI Forum – National Veterans Outreach Program,

serving vulnerable populations including veterans, individuals experiencing

homelessness, and job seekers in Dallas and Fort Worth.

Deeply committed to the community, Gonzalez serves on multiple boards and

advisory councils across Fort Worth, supporting causes that support veterans,

empower families, promote education and advance economic equity. He holds a

Bachelor of Science in News and Media Studies and an Executive MBA, both from

Texas Christian University.
