The October 18 event will bring together fashion, art, music and community in celebration of CHAZLYN founder Chaz Pilarcik’s mother and women facing their own cancer journeys
Texas-founded footwear brand CHAZLYN will bring its deeply personal Step With Her campaign to The Crescent Hotel Fort Worth for an intimate evening celebrating art, family, resilience and purpose.
Taking place Sunday, October 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Emilia’s patio, the event will the event will officially launch the limited-edition collection created by CHAZLYN founder Chaz Pilarcik and inspired by original artwork by her mother, artist Debbie Godfrey. The evening will feature a live performance by country artist Coffey Anderson, passed hors d’oeuvres and beverages, and a display of the Step With Her collection.
Step With Her was born from a deeply personal chapter in Pilarcik’s family. Godfrey, an artist, has long influenced Pilarcik’s own approach to design, and when her mother’s breast cancer returned in August 2025, Pilarcik turned to her own creative practice to create something that would honor her mother while carrying her story forward.
Pilarcik transformed Godfrey’s original artwork into the foundation for the limited-edition Step With Her collection, translating the artwork into handcrafted leather and silk pieces. Inspired by resilience and rooted in her mother’s story, each piece is created to be worn with purpose.
The collection includes a limited-edition boot crafted from full-grain leather with an 85mm wood heel, limited-edition 100% silk scarves and a full-grain leather card holder. The collection’s message is captured in its central phrase, “one step closer,” and is dedicated to every woman facing her own journey.

A portion of proceeds from the collection will support the inspiration behind Step With Her and Godfrey’s ongoing cancer journey.
“Step With Her is incredibly personal to me,” said Chaz Pilarcik, founder of CHAZLYN. “My mom’s art has always been part of who I am and how I see the world. Being able to take something she created and transform it into something that can be worn and carried forward has meant so much to me. This collection is about resilience, purpose and taking that next step together.”
At The Crescent, guests will gather on Emilia’s patio where the evening will feature the Step With Her collection and Debbie Godfrey’s artwork. Pilarcik will share the story behind the collection before introducing the evening’s live performance by Coffey Anderson in the Conservatory.
A portion of ticket proceeds from the October 18 event will benefit the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center (JKCRC), which has provided support, guidance and resources at no cost to more than 20,000 patients and families navigating cancer over the past 16 years.
The event offers an opportunity to experience the Step With Her collection while supporting a local organization dedicated to helping individuals and families through their cancer journeys.
