Looking for a fun and engaging summer activity to enjoy with your children? Hop on board Trinity Metro TEXRail at Fort Worth T&P Station and get ready to Read & Ride in July! Families will take a magical round-trip ride with guest readers, stories and free books for kids.
Beginning Wednesday, July 2, the Storytime Train runs at 9:30 a.m. every Wednesday and Saturday in July, plus a special trip in Spanish on Sunday, July 27. Free parking is available at Fort Worth T&P Station, and the round-trip ride to North Richland Hills/Iron Horse Station will take approximately one hour. Note: The books distributed at the event will match the story read on the train. The same book will be used for each date.
Guest speakers include: Karen Molinar, superintendent of Fort Worth Independent School District; Emily Messer, president of Texas Wesleyan University; Rachel Capua, vice president of external operations and dean of Tarleton State University Fort Worth; Rich Andreski, president and CEO of Trinity Metro; Jeff Martinez, president, Mid-Tex Division, Atmos Energy; Midori Clark, director of Fort Worth Public Library, Ericka Garza, president and CEO of Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Stephanie Boardingham, mayor of Forest Hill; Ben Robertson and Isaac Manning, Trinity Metro board members.
Tickets are only $2 each way, and children 4 and younger ride for free. Passengers using the GoPass app will save 50% off single-ride tickets by using the Storytime Train promotional code.
