Fort Worth Families Forward to Host Candidate Forums, Centering Community Needs in Local Elections

As Election Day approaches, Fort Worth Families Forward and Parent Shield Fort Worth have created a platform to engage with local candidates on the issues that matter most to them. The two organizations will host two Candidate Forums on March 27 and April 3, allowing the community to hear directly from candidates about their plans to address key concerns affecting Fort Worth families.

These forums will serve as a vital space for parents, educators, and community members to engage in discussions about the role of city council in shaping policies that impact local schools, neighborhoods, and family well-being. Attendees will be able to ask questions and gain insights into how candidates plan to support education, public safety, housing, and other critical issues that directly affect their daily lives.

Why This Matters:

Fort Worth Families Forward has been working to elevate the voices of charter school parents and ensure that elected officials understand the real needs of families in the city. With this election shaping the future of Fort Worth, these forums offer a direct line of communication between the people and those seeking to represent them.

“Families want to know where candidates stand on the issues that impact their children’s education and their daily lives. These forums are about making sure our voices are heard and that our elected officials are accountable to the communities they serve,” said Johamna Hernández, Director of Organizing at Fort Worth Families Forward.
