A historic moment for Fort Worth

This event is more than just a ribbon-cutting — it is a celebration of Fort Worth’s growth and commitment to civic engagement. The new Council Chamber represents a forward-thinking space designed to serve the City’s residents for years to come.

The iconic and former Pier One building has been transformed into a state-of-the-art City Hall, and now, the City completes that vision with the addition of the newly constructed and remarkable Council Chamber. The 250-seat space, coupled with the adjacent plaza and green spaces, ensures accessibility and encourages community gatherings. Inspired by the concept of “The Porch,” the new chamber will serve as the City’s unofficial “front porch,” a place for community engagement and civic participation.

The Council Chamber, along with City Hall, will serve residents in a modern, welcoming environment that consolidates City services, enhances interdepartmental collaboration and features state-of-the-art technology.
