GOODWILL NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS PROMOTES DEANDRE’ JOHNSON TO OPPORTUNITY ACCELERATOR® PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Goodwill North Central Texas announced today that DeAndre’ Johnson has been promoted to Director of Workforce Development, Opportunity Accelerator®.

In this role, Johnson will oversee the training and placement programs within Goodwill’s Workforce Development Opportunity Accelerator® (OA). The OA provides job training and placement support to a wide range of job seekers through programs including the Job Resource Centers, VetWorthy (which supports veterans, spouses and dependents), and Relaunch, which helps individuals who were formerly incarcerated successfully re-enter the workforce.

Johnson will provide strategic direction and day-to-day management of staff and program operations, drive program growth through referral recruitment, ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures and lead client outreach and relationship-building efforts. Her leadership will ensure high-quality, client-centered service delivery across all OA programs.

Johnson joined Goodwill North Central Texas in August 2021 and has served in several leadership roles throughout her tenure including OA Employment Specialist, OA Lead Employment Specialist, Workforce Development Supervisor and OA Program Manager.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Wiley College and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. Johnson also holds a Goodwill® Career Coach and Navigator Specialization Certificate and a Google Project Management Specialization Certificate.

A recipient of Goodwill’s Workforce Development Certificate of Excellence and Employee of the Month honors, Johnson is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and volunteers with the Girl Scouts of America.
