Fort Worth, TX — The Hispanic Wellness Coalition (HWC) is proud to announce its 25th Anniversary Gala, celebrating a quarter-century of service, impact, and advocacy in North Texas. The milestone event will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at The Fort Worth Club.
HWC has been a steadfast advocate for health equity, committed to closing the gap in access to healthcare through culturally relevant education, community outreach, and strategic partnerships. What began as a grassroots response to health disparities in the Hispanic community has grown into a county-wide initiative hosting four annual health fairs, free screenings, preventative services, and vital health education programs that reach thousands of families across Tarrant County.
In celebration of this silver anniversary, the gala will honor HealthCare Champions—The Honorable Kay Granger, Former Congresswoman; The Honorable Roy C. Brooks, Former County Commissioner; and Dr. Adela N. Gonzalez, founder of the Hispanic Wellness Fair. These distinguished leaders have been selected because of their tireless advocacy for healthcare both here in North Texas and on the national stage. Each has advanced policies, initiatives, and programs that have expanded access, improved equity, and uplifted the health of countless families. Their vision and leadership embody the mission of HWC, and their impact continues to shape a healthier future for our community and beyond.
“The 25th Anniversary Gala is not only a moment of celebration, but also a call to action,” said Gilbert Marerz, HWC Board of Directors President. “As we look back on the progress we’ve made, we also look ahead to the work still needed to build healthier futures for our families and communities.”
The evening will feature dinner, entertainment, and reflection on HWC’s 25 years of service. Guests, partners, and sponsors will have the opportunity to join in advancing HWC’s mission to promote education, advocacy, and access for diverse communities across North Texas.
HWC invites community members, healthcare leaders, and supporters to join in this celebration and consider supporting its work through event sponsorship. Sponsorship opportunities are available and will directly support HWC’s ongoing efforts to eliminate health disparities and expand access to wellness resources.
