M2G Ventures’ Mental Health Initiative Seeks Non-Profit Partner to Expand Trauma and Grief Counseling Access

FORT WORTH, TX – M2G Ventures, a Texas-based real estate investment and development company with a deep commitment to community wellbeing, is actively seeking a new non-profit partner through its Mental Health Initiative to provide grief and trauma counseling services to children and families. In the wake of the devastating Central Texas floods, co-founders, Susan Miller and Jessica Miller Essl, were reminded how closely mental health is tied to crisis and trauma.

The Mental Health Initiative’s (MHI) mission is to change the way we diagnose and treat mental health by funding innovative, research-driven, and compassionate care. Since its founding, the Initiative proudly supports two powerhouse organizations:
• UT Southwestern’s Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care, a national leader in depression and mood disorder research and treatment.
• The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation, which provides evidence-based suicide prevention programs throughout North Texas.
Now, M2G Ventures is seeking to expand its impact by identifying an additional long-term nonprofit partner specializing in grief and trauma therapy—particularly for children and families experiencing acute and ongoing mental health challenges in the aftermath of natural disasters or other traumatic events. The chosen organization will be committed to both immediate crisis response and sustainable, long-term care plans to foster resilience and healing.

“We believe mental health care must be proactive, holistic, and deeply human,” said Jessica Miller Essl, Co-Founder of M2G Ventures. “The emotional toll from the Central Texas floods underscores the urgent need for accessible trauma and grief support. We’re committed to investing in a partner who is equally passionate about providing real solutions—and real hope.”
Interested organizations that serve communities in Texas and focus on trauma-informed counseling or therapeutic care for children and families are encouraged to contact M2G Ventures director of social impact, Katie Wharry for partnership consideration.
