New and improved! Council Chambers set to debut at New City Hall

The first official council meeting at Fort Worth’s New City Hall will be on March 25. Here’s a sneak peek at the upgrades underway for the new Council Chambers.

The space is designed to be welcoming and inviting, utilizing advanced audio-visual equipment and acoustic testing, ensuring it looks and sounds excellent. The City team is preparing through hands-on training, mock meetings and dress rehearsals to fine-tune everything before the first official meeting.

Several new features will enhance the experience for residents and attendees:

  • Large, highly visible LED media walls in both the main Council Chambers and work session space, for clear visibility from all areas of the room.
  • Upgraded HD camera systems for an improved in-house and broadcast experience.
  • A hearing loop and advanced closed-caption tickers to accommodate attendees.
  • Improved remote participation capabilities with new audio and video routers.
  • Advanced audio controls with a new digital mixer and router.
  • ADA-compliant sit/stand podium, along with advanced modular podiums.
  • Noise suppression systems to minimize noise pollution from outside the chambers.

These upgrades help create an inclusive, engaging and sustainable space for public meetings, designed to serve Fort Worth for decades to come.
