PRIM Construction is happy to announce they have completed construction on a new showroom and service center for Toyota of Fort Worth. The new dealership was completed in August and is located off Loop 820 in White Settlement, serving the expanding West Fort Worth corridor. The building was designed by Gensler along with Jim Stephenson of VLK Architects. Trent Prim and Coby Brown of PRIM Construction led the pre-construction services over 18 months, conducting a constructability review and working on budgets through each phase of design.
The new Toyota dealership is an 82,000 square foot tilt wall building comprised of a 29,500 square foot showroom and a 52,500 square foot service center, making this the largest dealership PRIM has built to date. The service center houses 59 vehicle service bays and 5 detail bays. The showroom is designed to be more customer-centric and includes a customer lounge as well as a children’s play area.
“This project marks the 6th new auto dealership in the Fort Worth area that we have led construction on in the past 3 years,” said Trent Prim. “We did not intend to become the de facto dealership builder of Fort Worth, it came naturally after years of consistent hard work to understand the nuances of building auto dealerships. From the customer-facing showrooms where relationships are built to the service bays that keep operations running, every area of a dealership serves a distinct purpose and requires a deliberate approach to construction.”
PRIM has now built dealerships for Toyota, Acura, Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, and Subaru. Each dealership feels unique as each brand has certain architectural guidelines that must be followed during construction.
