As the need for more security has grown in society, so has Sentry Security Solutions. What began in 2013 as two individuals working out of their homes doing both sales and installations, is now listed as one of the top 100 security companies in the United States based upon revenue. Sentry is the brainchild of Nick McAmis, a veteran of almost three decades in the industry who started at age 19 as a technician with Brinks Home Security. The company evolved into a brick-and-mortar office with 14 full-time employees and 20-plus sub-contractors.
In today’s world the demand for security is increasing daily. Rising crime rates, workplace incidents, public incidents, and evolving threats are no longer distant concerns – they’re real challenges that businesses, property managers, homeowners, and communities face frequently,” said Sara Roberts, Sentry public relations representative. “A reactive approach to security is no longer feasible as it’s become a critical part of sustaining daily operations for businesses and providing peace of mind for homeowners.
“We are now seeing security being budgeted for the same as internet, electricity, or any other service to take a proactive approach to risks that could have devastating consequences.” Roberts noted that Sentry is locally owned and operated and operated. “When you call, you will speak to a live person. We here at Sentry, provide all things security, from alarm systems, cameras, access control, gun detection, virtual guard service, etc. all under one umbrella,” she said.
Among their latest innovations, the company is implementing artificial intelligence into business processes, as well as the solutions they offer. Sentry also serves the community and its needs through its non-profit organization, Sentry Cares, which was created last year. They also take time out once a quarter to serve at Harvest House in Burleson, and volunteer with the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors Community Outreach.
Roberts said the company looks ahead, they are focusing on a variety of areas, including: Client Relations – “We aim to deepen trust with our clients by providing exceptional service, faster response times, and proactive solutions that prevent issues before they occur,” she said.
Expand Solutions – As security needs evolve, so will Sentry — continuing to invest in advanced technology such as AI-driven monitoring, smarter access control, and innovative video surveillance solutions.
Team and Culture – “Our people are our greatest asset,” she said. “We’re committed to building a high-performance culture where training, development, and recognition drive both personal and professional growth.”
Community Outreach – Through Sentry Cares and other initiatives, Roberts said the company will continue giving back, offering “the gift of safety” to those in need and making a lasting difference beyond day-to-day business.
