The Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth (REC of GFW), a regional association for the commercial real estate profession, is proud to announce the winners of four prestigious awards honoring exceptional contributions to the Council, commercial real estate, and the community.
During the 2025 Annual Meeting held on April 3, REC of GFW celebrated the achievements of the recipients of the “Outstanding Young Leader Award,” “Danny Scarth Member Impact Award,” “Excellence Award,” and “Susan A. Halsey Founder’s Award.” The awards committee meets annually to select honorees based on their impactful leadership and dedication.
Outstanding Young Leader Award: Mitchell Parker, MainStreet Partners & Rapt Properties. Mitchell Parker, Co-Founder and Partner at MainStreet Partners and Founder of Rapt Properties, serves as Co-Chair of the Young Leaders Steering Committee. His unwavering commitment to developing leadership growth within the Real Estate Council earned him this distinguished honor.
Excellence Award: LaMonica Smith, City of Fort Worth. As a Planning Assistant for Transportation Impact within Development Services, LaMonica Smith is celebrated for her dedication to customer service and her commitment to enhancing the culture of the City of Fort Worth.
Danny Scarth Member Impact Award: Bowie Holland, Empire Holdings. Bowie Holland, President of Empire Holdings, oversees a $100+ million portfolio with $25+ million in ongoing development. As Chair of Government Affairs, his efforts to improve development processes and strengthen collaboration across stakeholders have made a lasting impact on the Council.
Susan A. Halsey Founder’s Award: Tom Galbreath, Dunaway. With a 39-year tenure at Dunaway, including roles as CEO and Chairman of the Advisory Board, Tom Galbreath has played a transformative role in shaping the Real Estate Council and the community. His leadership has driven urban development initiatives and expanded Dunaway’s capabilities across Texas. Former Mayor Kenneth Barr, who presented the award, shared praise from Betsy Price, “Tom Galbreath’s 39 years of dedicated service at Dunaway have left an indelible mark on Fort Worth. His leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping countless projects that make Fort Worth the best city in the country.”
